Abstract Submission

Abstract Submissions are now closed.

General Information

The Organising Committee accepts submissions of abstracts of original contributions on any topic related to the Congress theme. If you wish to submit a presentation for consideration, you must follow the instructions set out in the following sections.

The abstract submissions for the 13th Winter Congress will undergo a blind review process.

Final Submission Date: 12 March 2010
Acceptance Notification: 13 April 2010
Registration deadline for authors: 5 May 2010

Program Themes

The 13th Winter Congress theme is “Leadership, Diversity and Innovation: The Global Picture” and prospective presenters are invited to enter submissions relating to this theme.

More specifically submissions may relate to the following sub themes and you can indicate when you submit your abstract if your submission relates to any of the following themes:

First Time Presenter Program

The First Time Presenter Program welcomes delegates who are new to presenting and offers encouragement through an awards program. Awards will be presented at the conclusion of the Congress and will be presented to a first time presenter who has excelled in this area. In order to qualify for this program, each first time presenter must fulfil the below conditions.

Please indicate when submitting your abstract if you wish to be considered for this program.

Conditions Of Acceptance

All abstracts must be presented in English by the primary author. That author will be required to register for the congress no later than 5 May 2010.

Submission Procedure

Acceptance of papers for presentation at the Congress will be on the basis of reviewed abstracts.
Abstracts must be received by the Congress Managers no later than 12 March 2010. Please note if your abstract is accepted for presentation it is a condition of acceptance that you register for the Congress no later than the 14 April 2010.

Oral Presentations

The choice of abstracts for oral presentation will be made by the Review Panel. Instructions providing details necessary for oral presenters will be sent to authors upon notification of the abstract’s acceptance.

Poster Presentations

The choice of abstracts for poster presentation will be made by the Review Panel. For those selected to present their abstract in a Poster format, it is expected that one of the presenting authors be present at their poster during poster viewing opportunities.

Instructions on the preparation of poster displays will be sent to authors upon notification of the abstract’s acceptance.
